TIME MONITOR v1.2.6 released

10 July 2010

Piranha Designs, LLC announced today that the latest release of Time Monitor v1.2.6 parental control software for Windows is now available. The Piranha Designs Time Monitor™ program is simply the finest Microsoft Windows® parental control software available today for helping parents limit kids computer time. This release includes two new features and many small enhancements to the program. To read about features of the previous release read Time Monitor v1.2.2. The success of Time Monitor allows us to continue innovating and supporting our product.

A new feature of the Piranha Designs Time Monitor program allows parents to set blocks of unmonitored time. During a time period defined as unmonitored Time Monitor will allow access to the computer but not count time used against the maximum time allowed. This feature is especially useful when a child takes a laptop or notebook to school. For example, your child goes to school Monday through Friday from 8am to 3pm. Using the Time Monitor Administrator to allow unmonitored time during that time period will ensure your child always has unmonitored access to the computer. After 3pm Time Monitor once again starts counting minutes used. This feature eliminates the task of resetting time on a daily basis and makes it easier on both parent and child.

Password protection is another new feature of Time Monitor. This protection feature allows the parent to set a password which will be required to access any Time Monitor administrative program. Enable password protection if you suspect your child is somehow logging on to the computer using your Windows administrator account.

For users in countries that observe Daylight Savings Time (DST) a fix has been applied to account for system time change following a transition from Standard time to Daylight time or vice versa.

This release also includes minor bug fixes.

Customers who have purchased a previous release of the Time Monitor v1.x series are eligible to upgrade to this release at no extra cost. We do our best to support our customers and freely provide minor upgrades.
