TIME MONITOR v1.1.0 released

Piranha Designs, LLC announced today that the latest release of Time Monitor v1.1.0 parental control software is now available. The Piranha Designs Time Monitor™ program is simply the finest Microsoft Windows® parental control software available today for helping parents limit computer time. This release builds upon the previous release by adding Administrator security protection, better support for Windows XP and Vista Fast User Switching(FUS) technology (not available on Vista Starter), and improvements to the installation program. Time Monitor v1.1.0 will now automatically deny access by all users to the Time Monitor Administrator program except the designated master administrator account. This feature allows, for example, your child to play their favorite game that requires administrator privileges in order to run yet still provide time limits on their computer use. We have received numerous requests for this feature which we now support. For more detailed information regarding this feature please read Time Monitor Administation Settings in our Support section.
Installation of Time Monitor has improved as well. We've streamlined the process and have made it incredibly simple to install. Windows Vista and Windows 7 users no longer have to right-click and "Run as Administrator". Users who run the program directly from the website download section will also benefit from this feature. A Desktop shortcut to the Administrator program can now be created automatically from the setup program. This shortcut is only created on the desktop of the admin account performing the installation. As always, before installing or removing Time Monitor, make sure you are the only person logged into the system. Otherwise the Time Monitor setup program may tell you it cannot continue and will exit.
A new option has been included as well - the ability to enable or disable the voice warning messages. This option, when checked, indicates that Time Monitor should play the voice warning sound messages. These voice warning messages are played at 5 minutes, and again at 1 minute, before the current user is forced to logoff. You can even record and use your own warning messages. See the document Customizing Time Monitor Voice Messages for more information. Kids enjoy this feature when you do it with them!
Turning this feature off is necessary for Internet cafes and Public Libraries where the voice messages would be a distraction to other users. The commercial version of the Piranha Designs Time Monitor already includes this feature. Please contact us if your organization is interested in licensing the commercial version of Time Monitor.
This release also includes minor bug fixes and small cosmetic changes that make the program even more stable and look better. Customers who have purchased a previous release of Time Monitor v1.0 are eligible to upgrade to this release at no extra cost. We do our best to support our customers and freely provide minor upgrades.
