Time Monitor v1.0.8 release
Well, today we finally felt ready to release the latest version of Time Monitor v1.0.8. The main feature of this release includes support for the Windows Fast User Switching (FUS) technology. FUS allows users to switch out of their logon session so that another person can logon without affecting their current session or time remaining.
To use a real life scenario - Your son Eddie is currently logged on doing research homework for school but you want him to mow the grass. Rather than having to log off the computer to save his remaining computer time he can now simply lock the computer or choose to switch user and go to the main logon screen. By doing this, Eddie can leave all his current programs and documents open yet not accumulate time used. When he has finished mowing the grass he can log back in and all his programs and open documents are waiting there for him.
The great news is that during the time Eddie was mowing the grass Time Monitor saw his session was on hold and did not count that time against him. This is a win-win for both parent and child! If you are comparing parental control software products you should keep this feature in mind. If you haven't purchased Time Monitor yet, this is just one more reason why you should.
Now that Time Monitor v1.0.8 has shipped we can spend some good design and programming time on new features that would be awesome to include in the product. We are in the design phase for Time Monitor v2.0 which will have many more parental control features available to our customers. Keep an eye here for clues as to just what those features will be.
